In spite of his loss to Nate Diaz at UFC 196 at the weekend, Conor McGregor's humility in the face of defeat caught people by surprised and probably earned 'The Notorious' even more fans.
Boxing's heavyweight king, Tyson Fury, wasn't quite so impressed.
The WBA Super, WBO and Ring Magazine heavyweight champion has long been critical of UFC and said he'd be prepared to face their fighters as recently as last December. After watching McGregor submit to Diaz in round two of their welterweight bout at the weekend, ex-Irish heavyweight champion Fury said McGregor shouldn't be called the fighting pride of Ireland.
Fury said Holly Holm showed more "balls" than McGregor.
According to Fury, McGregor should be embrassed for tapping out.
Somehow, we don't think Conor McGregor will be too bothered by what Tyson Fury has to say.
McGregor hit back at his 'haters' with an Instagram post 24 hours after his loss.
"I stormed in and put it all on the line. I took a shot and missed.
I will never apologize for taking a shot.
