We're going to go out on a limb here and say that the best play from Friday didn't come from any of the major sports. Sure, JaMychal Green's posterization and staredown on Rudy Gobert was impressive, but wait until you see the work of Bane. Seton Catholic (Ind.) Cardinals' Desmond Bane, that is.
In addition to scoring 41 points to help lead his team past Blue River Valley in the IHSAA Class A Sectional 56 semifinals, Bane also had this incredible moment where he threw it all over a defender who tried to take a charge.
After Colten Pipenger grabbed his missed layup, he kicked it out to Bane who pretty much told his defender, "It doesn't matter who we are, what matters is our plan." As Desmond flew in the air, he pretty much warned this dude that this moment "would be extremely painful... for you." After slamming it down, Bane confidently walked away, but not before pretty much telling his victim, "You fight like a younger man, with nothing held back. Admirable but mistaken."
