After Ronda Rousey lost to Holly Holm last year, she admitted that she spent a lot of time crying on her couch and eating ice cream to deal with the pain. One of her fellow MMA fighters took a decidedly different approach after he took an L just one week before Rousey’s loss.

David Rickels, who fights in Bellator’s lightweight division, got knocked out by Michael Chandler last November, two years after he got knocked out by Chandler in another fight. He was asked to explain how he dealt with the knockout yesterday, and he responded by saying:

Well then. Chandler himself actually chimed in and called Rickels’ shocking admission “sad”:

But hey, whatever works, right? Oh, and for the record, Rickels did use one other thing to numb the pain:

Yeah, that’ll do it.
