Detroit power forward/center Aron Baynes is getting praises from his teammates lately, most notably Pistons All-Star center Andre Drummond. He stated about Baynes' contributions to the team:
"Aron Baynes is a professional; he's come from a great team of winners and (since he's come here), I've learned quite a few things from him," Drummond said. "He's been a sparkplug for us and an X-factor when he comes in the game. He brings a lot of energy to the floor."
When the Raptors faced the Pistons in Toronto on Saturday night, Baynesmade a worthy Top 10 Plays of the Night around the NBA with this slam. Pistons point guard Brandon Jennings' drove to the hoop, and had his left-handed lay-up in the right lane pinned off the backboard. But the Australian-born Baynes was like "Don't worry, I've got your back, mate! I'm the plug, remembah?!" Baynes went down under the ball while it was still floating in mid-air, caught it with his right hand, and flushed it in with a hard bang to ensure the two points for his squad.
But the Pistons to the Raptors would lose in the end, 111-107. The dunk was the best play of the game though, mate.
