Often times self-promotion through Twitter pledges gets like, I don't know, four retweets, a few likes, and then plunges into the abyss of social media to be forgotten forever. But one such Spurs fan's ploy actually worked when he promised to get cornrows if his push to get Kawhi Leonard a spot as an All-Star starter got 12,000 people to spread the word:

Obviously this is how All-Star starters were meant to be chosen. Perhaps if Zaza Pachulia's admirers were willing to go that extra mile it would've pushed him over the top?:
