Often times self-promotion through Twitter pledges gets like, I don't know, four retweets, a few likes, and then plunges into the abyss of social media to be forgotten forever. But one such Spurs fan's ploy actually worked when he promised to get cornrows if his push to get Kawhi Leonard a spot as an All-Star starter got 12,000 people to spread the word:

Well it did. You didn't need me to tell you that because you can see the number above. But instead of pulling an Aaron Rodgers, the fan followed through on his promise, because if Spurs twitter promotes you they're getting what they're owed: 

Obviously this is how All-Star starters were meant to be chosen. Perhaps if Zaza Pachulia's admirers were willing to go that extra mile it would've pushed him over the top?:

Guess we'll never know:
