During a Lakers All Access event at the Staples Center last night, Shaq sat down for a quick Q&A to talk about his college and movie career, and the Lakers then and now. While talking about his days at LSU, O'Neal admitted to taking money to play for the school:

Full Shaq quote on his time at LSU: "Yes, they paid very well. Statute of limitations is up. I can talk about it...That’s right baby, LSU.”

He also said he would like his son to play there so he can reap the benefits of attending the school, too:

Shaq wants his son to play @ LSU: “You can probably get a house, you can get 2 cars. I’ll set it up for you. I know some people down there."

Given Shaq's rep, it's safe to say he's at least half joking. But still, we wonder how the hell a football school was able to land the best freshman on the planet in Ben Simmons. They must've gave him a fully-loaded Lexus, his father a tractor, his mother a house, and $100,000 in cash. It's the only way him committing there makes any sense.
