On January 23rd, 2015, Klay Thompson played the game of his life when he and the Warriors faced the Sacramento Kings at home in Oakland. The sharp-shooter couldn't miss a shot if he wanted to, and single-handedly torched the Kings by scoring an astounding 37 points in the third quarter, an NBA record for the most points ever scored in one period. Thompson shot a perfect 13-13 from the field, 9-9 from beyond the arc, and 2-2 from the charity stripe— all in the third quarter alone. He finished the game with a total of 52 points, plus the win for the Warriors.

In case you missed how he did it, here's a clip to watch how it all went down:

On Saturday, the one-year anniversary of Thompson's jaw-dropping performance, the Warriors tweeted this to commemorate it:

There were plenty of 🔥 tweets during @KlayThompson's 🔥 quarter » https://t.co/pIq8YlDo5x #GSWHistory pic.twitter.com/gCcCmF9qe2

The Kings definitely felt some type of way about them acknowledging the anniversary, so they showed up in the Warriors' mentions begging them to not remind us all of Klay's scorcher on them from one year ago:

Obviously, they are still butt-hurt from the experience. It will be okay. Time heals, and they certainly need much more than a year for that scar to fade away.
