Last month, M.I.A. released a video for her song, “Borders,” which was created to address the crisis involving migrants all across the world. In it, she made a (very!) brief appearance wearing an altered Paris Saint-Germain jersey that said “Fly Pirates” on the front of it as opposed to “Fly Emirates,” which is what the real jersey says. And PSG’s deputy CEO Jean Claude Blanc didn’t like it, so he sent a letter on behalf of the organization to M.I.A.’s record label Universal Music a short time after the video was released. He asked for the video to be removed and for the label to compensate the soccer club.

This morning, M.I.A. shared that letter with her fans on Twitter:

She also made a reference to the lawsuit that the NFLfiled against her in 2014:

And she pointed out that she has a real love/hate relationship with sports in general:

But despite the letter, it doesn’t look like she’s going to budge and remove the “Borders” video anytime soon. She has been retweeting stuff like this all morning:

And she even made her Twitter avi a photo of her in her altered PSG jersey:

Universal hasn't responded to the letter publicly, but it'll be interesting to see what they decide to do now that it has become public. Stay tuned.
