Dwyane Wade hasn’t been playing that bad lately, has he? No, not really. Outside of a 2-point performance against the Bucks last week, Wade has scored more than 20 points in four of his last five games and shot over 50 percent in each of those contests. But apparently, Wade’s 13-year-old son Zaire hasn’t been overly impressed by some of his recent play. So before the Heat played the Nets last night, Zaire sent Wade a series of motivational text messages.

Wade shared those text messages with Miami Herald reporter Ethan Skolnick, who posted them on Instagram (with Wade’s permission) for all to see. You can read them here:

Wait, Wade’s son calls him “Big Dog”? LOL. That’s great. Also: This kid isn’t afraid of calling his dad out, huh? He referred to a 28-point performance against the Thunder last month as “aiight”…and now this. But hey, it worked as Wade went off for 27 points last night, and the Heat won. So keep the text messages coming, kid!
