The Warriors got off to a ridiculous 24-0 start to the season, but saw that streak come to an end last Saturday in Milwaukee at the hands of the Bucks.
Milwaukee isn't a very good team this season. They have the third worst record in the Eastern Conference, and followed up that win over the Warriors with a night at the strip club, before suffering back-to-back losses to the Lakers and the Clippers. Golden State catching that L was a result of the schedule more than anything else; the contest in Milwaukee came at the end of a six-game road trip, and was on the second night of a back-to-back set following a double overtime win in Boston.
None of that mattered to the Bucks, however, who evidently enjoyed their victory a little too much. They'll face the Warriors in a rematch Friday night in Oakland, and Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson sound like they're very excited about getting their chance for revenge.
"Oh, it was a nice celebration. We do remember that stuff." reigning MVP Stephen Curry said Wednesday night after a 128-103 win over the Phoenix Suns. "We were kind of laughing at some of the stuff going on. It was a big game for them. Friday will be a big game for us."
The Warriors are beating teams by an average of 13.6 points per game this season. It sounds like the Bucks are in for something a whole lot worse.
