Richard Sherman Explains Why He Won’t See ‘Concussion’: “I See a Concussion Movie Every Sunday”

Well, that's scary.

If NFL players want to see the new Will Smith movie, Concussion, they are allowed to see it for free while it’s still in theaters. Some of them, like Jets offensive tackle D’Brickashaw Ferguson, have already seen it and revealed their thoughts on it.

One guy who won’t be seeing it, though, is Richard Sherman. The Seahawks star was asked if he had seen the movie yesterday during his weekly press conference, and he revealed that he hasn’t. It also doesn’t sound like he’s going to see it because it’s a movie he’s already basically seen.

“I see a concussion movie every Sunday,” he said. “Don’t need to go to the theater.”

If you missed it, Sherman wrote a great (and scary!) piece about concussions back in 2013, which you can read here. He’s obviously got some strong opinions on them and doesn’t need a movie to show him what he already knows about them.
