When Mike Tyson got a gigantic tribal tattoo inked on his face back in 2003, most people thought he was crazy. Who the %&^* tattoos their face?!

Fast-forward to 2015 and, somehow, Tyson’s tattoo looks so tame. Hell, if you’re standing at the right angle, you can’t even see that he has his face tattooed! Meanwhile, there are people walking around with their entire faces tatted up.

Still, there’s probably some small part of him that regrets tattooing his face, right? Wrong. He just did an interview with Steiner Sports and was asked about the tattoo. And he said he’s still glad he got it.

“I love this tattoo,” he said. “Over a million people got it now, so I did a good thing. This is good. This is good.”

“You started a trend,” the interviewer then said.

“Yeah, really weird people,” Tyson replied. “You have to remember, sometimes, you can’t feel a tattoo. So sometimes, you see one of these guys with their whole thing [gestures towards face] and you look at him like, ‘Whoa, he’s kind of creepy.’ And then, he’s talking to me like he’s comfortable, and I’m like, ‘Oh, I got one, too.’ That’s what happens sometimes. I’m being judgmental with a tattoo.”
