There is no shortage of confidence where the NBA's best players are concerned. Ask the top-tier guys who the best player in the league is, and just about all of them will pick themselves.
We've seen Kevin Durant, James Harden,LeBron James, and even Paul George all make this claim recently, and now we can add Klay Thompson of the Golden State Warriors to this somewhat silly list.
Asked to name the best player at each position in the NBA, Klay Thompson picked Warriors teammate Stephen Curry as the point guard and then paused.
Thompson citing his team's record as the reason for his claim doesn't make a whole lot of sense, especially when Stephen Curry is by your side for the bulk of your on-court minutes.
An objective observer would probably rank Thompson third behind Harden and Butler, but his overall shooting ability and his propensity to catch fire for stretches might be the best of the bunch.
