Former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan has been out of action for a while as he awaits medical clearance to return to the ring, and has evidently been spending his time training for another sport.

In an interview with former UFC Lightweight Champion Benson Henderson over at Sporting News, Henderson said that he’s seen Bryan training at his gym, and reported that his technique was impressive.

Henderson had the chance to see WWE talent train in MMA. Former WWE champion Daniel Bryan does mixed martial arts training at Henderson's gym, the MMA Lab in Glendale, Ariz. Bryan used to train at Xtreme Couture in Las Vegas under one of the best grappling coaches in the world, Neil Melanson. While he hasn't trained with Bryan, Henderson is impressed with what he's seen from him.

It's unclear if Bryan will actually go the MMA route at some point, but based on Henderson's comments, it at least seems like it could one day be an option.
