Whenever you talk about a dunk, it tends to be accompanied by a word like "slam," or alongside phrases like "throwing it down" or "rim-rattling." This, um, dunk by Chris Paul against the Washington Wizards tonight doesn't require any of those descriptions. In fact, it's the complete opposite.
With no one standing in his way, Paul had an opportunity to build up as much steam as he could to get the ball over the hoop and he still barely made it.
An accomplishment like this, as sad as it may sound, is truly deserving of a bench-clearing ovation.
