English Soccer Player Says Justin Bieber’s Music Is Helping Him Score More Goals

Whatever works for you, right?

Ryan Leonard, a midfielder for League One’s Southend United in England, has scored three goals in his last four games. And while we probably definitely wouldn’t be covering him if that was the end of the story, the reason behind his recent success is pretty interesting.

According to Leonard, he has been so successful lately because—get this—he has been bumping Justin Bieber’s new album, Promise, and, more specifically, his hit single, “Sorry,” non-stop. He says it’s the reason he has been able to score as often as he has.

“Since we started playing Justin Bieber, I’ve started scoring again,” he told local publication Echo News, before saying that his teammates love Biebs, too. “We pretty much live together and we’re addicted to Justin Bieber’s new song.”

More Biebs = more goals? Whatever works for you, man.
