UPDATE:

During the Ronda Rousey/Holly Holm post-fight press conference, UFC President Dana White explained why Rousey was taken to a hospital. According to him, she was transported to the hospital because she got knocked out and because she suffered a split lip that required stitches.

“Ronda was transported [to the hospital] because she got knocked out and got her lip split," he said. "She was obviously bummed."

Earlier tonight, Holly Holmshocked the world by defeating Ronda Rousey. She knocked her out in the second round of their UFC 193 fight with a vicious kick to the side of Rousey’s neck:

And according to reports coming out of Melbourne, Australia, Rousey was taken to a hospital immediately after the fight:
