On Monday, New England Patriots offensive tackle Nate Solder spoke at the Above & Beyond the Gratitude Gala, a fundraiser benefiting the Joe Andruzzi Foundation, where he revealed that his infant son, Hudson, has kidney cancer. Solder added that he has already "completed a few rounds of chemotherapy," according to Boston Herald beat reporter Jeff Howe.

Hudson, who is just four months old, was diagnosed last month when doctors found a Wilms' tumor in his kidneys.

The awful news comes one year after a team physical revealed Nate had been diagnosed with testicular cancer. After getting the testicle removed, Solder went on to start at left tackle in every game the following season which concluded with a Super Bowl XLIX victory over the Seattle Seahawks.
