On the Miami Dolphins first possession in their game against the New York Jets on Sunday afternoon, quarterback Ryan Tannehill threw a pass over the middle to wide receiver Rishard Matthews. The ball was thrown slightly behind Matthews, who was unable to corral it. As the ball bounced off Matthews' hands, Jets safety Calvin Pryor crushed him by throwing his right shoulder into Matthews' back. The hit was so hard that Matthews had to immediately leave the game to attend to both his chest and his ribs.

Pryor celebrated after the hit, pumping his fist and hopping around the field with enthusiasm, which rubbed Tannehill the wrong way. He let Pryor know his thoughts after the game.

Tannehill: "It was a good hit, clean hit. But to celebrate when guy is down is a classless move."

As these things tend to go, Pryor got wind of Tannehill's comments, and took to Twitter to respond.

Throw a better ball next time @ryantannehill1 teammate would've never got injured!!! Sorry if you felt I was classless at the moment.
I was definitely celebrating the great play I made. I would never celebrate someone getting injured during the game. C'mon now

Shots fired at Ryan Tannehill. These two teams don't play again this season, so this is the extent of the beef for now.
