The Mets lost the World Series four games to one against the Kansas City Royals last night after looking like the better team for the majority of the MLB postseason. But you probably knew that.

What you may not know is, according to Hall of Fame first baseman Frank Thomas, the Mets have nothing to hang their heads about. Except, you know, playing poorly on the biggest stage of their lives and giving away the most important trophy in baseball.
