Prince Threw a 3-Hour Concert for the WNBA Champion Minnesota Lynx

After winning the WNBA title on Wednesday for the third time in the last five years, the Minnesota Lynx were treated to something very special in their hometown state.

According to a report from the StarTribune,  Prince decided to throw what essentially amounted to a private concert for the champions, with the party lasting until the wee hours of the morning.

The Purple One started the party with “Purple Rain” shortly after 12:30 a.m. even though the champs hadn’t arrived yet. Within a few hits including “Let’s Go Crazy,” he was showing his respect, congratulating the Lynx “on a job well done.”

This is all pretty awesome, and even though the Lynx winning the title flew under the radar for most of us, at least the ladies got the recognition they deserved by getting to attend what was basically a once-in-a-lifetime musical experience.
