Joakim Noah has started all but two games he's been healthy for over the past five seasons. That, reportedly, will change this season as the Bulls will instead go with a starting lineup that includes the pairing of Pau Gasol and Nikola Mirotic.
Asked about the new role, Noah said "Whatever is best for the team. It's not about me right now. It's about this team."
New coach Fred Hoiberg elaborated on Noah's response:
"He didn't fight it one bit. I think he's excited to play with Taj (Gibson) and the chemistry those two have together. We want to throw (Gasol and Mirotic) out there together and I want to see Jo and Taj together (...) (W)e'll see how it all plays out."
In case you're wondering, Noah is completely healthy.
