Chuck Norris Blesses The Wallabies With His "Spirit" For World Cup Game

The legendary action star has formally bestowed his powers upon on our home team.

Infamous arse-kicker Chuck Norris has secured an instant win for the Wallabies at this weekend's World Cup game by imbuing our team with his "power" and "spirit".

Appearing on Channel 9's Today program on Friday, Norris acknowledged the fact that the All Blacks had their "moral" war dance, but the Wallabies would be going into battle with "the power of Chuck Norris’ spirit there to help them win the game”. This delighted Karl Stefanovic, and presumably struck intense fear into the hearts of our Kiwi rivals.

Norris was open about his fandom on the show, and seemed to be genuine in his appreciation for the sport. He explained he'd been on eight trips to Australia to promote movies, and on one particular occasion while visiting to push 1983's Lone Wolf McQuade, he went to a rugby match and fell in love with the sport.

“To me it’s one of the most rugged sports there are out there and I like rugged stuff so I became a big fan of rugby," he said. It still remains to be seen when New Zealand will formally forfeit the game after this news.
