In a state obsessed with the Patriots this likely comes as little shock, but a Massachusetts junior high renamed itself "Tom Brady Middle School" today in honor of Drew Bledsoe's former backup. The Springfield, Mass. school (which usually goes by Forest Park Middle School) chose to make the switch after a meeting between the principal and some students, who were likely just parroting the love nearly every grown man in New England has for Brady.
To celebrate today (which obviously/intentionally coincides with tonight's opener) the school gathered for a morning assembly where both teachers and students chanted the Patriots name in what we can only imagine was a cult-like fashion that had to terrify every new student whose family moved to the area over the summer:
