British boxer Robin Deakin is the worst boxer in the world. We've admittedly never actually seen a single second of any of his fights, but we feel pretty confident in saying that he sucks based off his record alone. He's currently 2-51 (!) and has been so bad that he was stripped of his boxing license for his own safety.

All of that being said, Deakin—who has been labeled "Britain's Worst Boxer"—is also the most resilient boxer in the world. Because while he lost 51 consecutive matches after winning his debut back in 2006, he's never given up. In fact, he was stabbed in the neck during an incident at a nightclub back in May, which, you know, would have been a pretty good reason to decide not to fight anymore. But he didn't quit and, last Saturday night, he beat Deniss Kornilovs from Latvia. It ended his 51-match losing streak—and believe it or not, he actually talked some trash after it was over.

"I'm a fighter," the 29-year-old said. "I'm going to fight my way back to the top. You'll see. All those people that called me Britain's worst boxer can eat their words. They just made me punch better. People saying I'm the worst made me stronger. I did everything different this time and worked my hardest—and it showed."

He's now referring to himself as the real-life Rocky Balboa:

In fairness to Deakin's critics, he did lose 51 matches in a row, meaning he gave them plenty of reasons to think that he was a terrible boxer. But if this guy isn't the new poster boy for not giving up, we don't know who is.
