Justin Bieber has always had Floyd Mayweather's back. And in the Complex's October/November cover story, Bieber once again goes to bat for his boy

In a wide ranging interview conducted with Complex's Joe La Puma, the 21-year-old pop star and ring visitor at many of Mayweather's championship fights, calls out the "stupid" people who read way too much into the undefeated boxer's legendary bragging and boasting.   

When Bieber was asked if he thought that being around a polarizing personality like Mayweather made him an easy target for critics, the two-time Grammy Award nominee sounded off. 

"With Floyd, he’s just an image. I think he may not do the best job at being humble, but that’s not his job. I mean, it’s good to see people that are just humble and cool and down-to-earth and chill, but he’s trying to get pay-per-view numbers. He’s saying wild stuff just for attention. When people can just stop being stupid—sorry to say that—but when people can stop reading into it so much and just look at the fact that he’s doing this for entertainment....
