Ray Rice Praises Roger Goodell in ESPN Interview: "I View Roger as a Great Commissioner"

At least the commissioner has one fan.

Former Pro Bowl running back Ray Rice is still looking for a job in the NFL. However, after a year away from the league; a messy domestic violence case; and a slight downturn in his performance during the 2013-14 season, finding a roster spot on any team may be easier said than done.

Should Rice's comeback attempt ultimately fall short, it won't be due to lack of effort. The former Baltimore Raven was on ESPN last night conducting an interview with Jemele Hill, who gave Rice a chance to speak his mind about the man who kept him out of the league for much of last season: Roger Goodell.

Rice, however, holds no ill will against the commissioner. Quite the opposite, in fact:

Been asked what surprised me most about the Ray Rice interview. One thing was what he said about Roger Goodell: pic.twitter.com/Fm0vFp5EzX

Will his praise and accountability help him land on another team? Hard to say, but a good interview never hurts in a league like the NFL.
