On Wednesday, Nick Kyrgios pulled a real dick move in the middle of his Rogers Cup match against Stan Wawrinka, For some inexplicable reason, Kyrgios decided to walk over to Wawrinka during the second round and tell him that another tennis player named Thanasi Kokkinakis "banged his girlfriend."
If you can't make out what was said, Kyrgios told Wawrinka, "Kokkinakis banged your girlfriend. Sorry to tell you that, mate.”
Either he didn't hear Kyrgios or was prepared for the 20-year-old's mind games because Wawrinka didn't react to this ridiculous remark. The match ended in the next round after Stan sustained an injury which forced him to pull out of the competition and both guys shook hands as if nothing even happened.
Following the match, Kyrgios was asked about the comment that went viral and well, after seeing what he did earlier in the match, you shouldn't be surprised by what you hear.
Wawrinka also spoke about the incident and suggested that the ATP come down hard on Kyrgios for what he said:
