Zlatan Ibrahimovic Says He'd Be in the UFC if He Wasn't a Professional Footballer

Zlatan as an MMA fighter actually makes sense.

This is one outlandish Zlatan Ibrahimovic statement that actually makes sense.

The extrovert Swedish superstar has revealed that if his mega-successful football career hadn't taken off, he'd have fancied his chances at making it as an elite-level MMA fighter with the UFC.

Speaking to Bleacher Report, the PSG striker said:

"My father wanted me to be a lawyer but I had a hard time seeing me as a lawyer. But I'm a huge UFC fan, so probably something within the UFC or martial arts. I would see myself good in that."

Zlatan's style of play even seems influenced by martial arts.

Zlatan already has a black belt in taekwondo, so it's no surprise that he think he'd be competitive in the Octagon. He's a big fan of Swedish UFC hero Alexander Gustafsson so perhaps – when it's time for Zlatan to hang up his boots – he could do a CM Punk and make a surprise career switch with MMA.

Dare to try it, Zlatan?
