New Cowboys Coach Throws Ice Water at Players, Has Them Catch Passes With Bags Over Their Heads

New Cowboys coach throws ice water at players, has them catch passes with bags over their heads.

That's Dallas Cowboys tight end Jason Witten, who evidently has no trouble catching passes with his vision obstructed.

This is actually the brainchild of new TE coach Mike Pope, who also throws ice cold water on his players during similarly crazy drills.

It would seem more practical to have guys dragging a player's arms down or going for their knees while trying to catch passes, in order to more closely simulate real game action. But since contact this early in the preseason isn't normally encouraged, the coach's unconventional tactics may be the next best thing.
