We don't have any hard evidence to back this up, but we're going to go out on a limb here and say that Skylar Diggins is probably the reason a lot of you follow the WNBA, if you follow it at all. She's definitely Drake's favorite WNBA player, and she's also one of the league's most marketable players. So it really, really, really, really, really, really, really sucks to hear that Diggins is going to have to miss the remainder of the 2015 WNBA season after suffering a torn ACL on Sunday during a Shock game against the Storm.

The worst part about the injury is that Diggins sustained it with just 44 seconds remaining on the clock. But fortunately, it sounds like she's already determined to come back stronger next season.

"I'm focused on getting healthy and stepping on the court even stronger," she said yesterday. "For the remainder of this season, I will continue to support my teammates in every way possible."

Diggins also thanked her fans for all their support on Twitter last night:

Our well wishes go out to Diggins. The WNBA is going to miss her.
