Remember when Rob Lowe was in those DIRECTV ads where he would star alongside lesser versions of himself? Back in April, it was reported that the company decided to pull the campaign. A weird move for something that appeared to be having a successful run. Fast forward three months and the premise is back, but this time, it has Eli Manning in Lowe's place.
In this latest commercial, Eli walks in front of the camera, introduces himself and then, "Bad Comedian Eli Manning" walks into the shot. The jokes are a little weak, but it looks like Manning is willing to go that extra mile for a laugh. These ads should get better over time and slowly but surely make us forget about Lowe's legendary appearances.
