10 days ago, when he allegedly swung a kettlebell at his son's strength and conditioning coach, Diddy was facing a fairly daunting list of charges including: three counts of assault with a deadly weapon, one count of battery and one count of making a terroristic threat. At the time it sounded bad but today the mogul received some relieving news when he found out the L.A. County district attorney rejected the case. That means Diddy won't get charged with a felony. Instead he faces misdemeanor charges, but only if the L.A. City Attorney decides to pursue them.

For the record, Diddy's lawyer Mark Geragos released a statement that said:

"We are thankful that the District Attorney rejected Felony charges in this matter. This case never should have been part of the criminal justice system to begin with."

Previously we had learned that UCLA "didn't want to press charges," so perhaps that had something to do with today's announcement.
