Update:Β An extremely sad development in this story. According to reports, C.J. Wilson lost two fingers during his fireworks accident.

Wouldn't you think that "NO FIREWORKS" would be written into just about every single NFL contract at this point? Assuming it's not there already, we're betting that it will be moving forward.

Over the July 4th weekend, Giants defensive end Jason Pierre-Paulreportedly suffered a severe hand injury as a result of a mishap involving fireworks. And while we're still waiting to hear exactly how bad the damage to his hand is, we've now heard about yet another NFL player suffering the same kind of "severe hand injury." The Tampa Tribune is reporting that Buccaneers cornerback C.J. Wilson suffered an injury as well over the July 4th weekend after mishandling fireworks:

Guys…really?

The Bucs are aware of the injury, but they haven't released any kind of statement about it yet. Stay tuned to see how bad Wilson's injury is.
