An incredibly sad story involving former NFL player Buster Barnett, his wife Sandra Barnett, and his alleged mistress Lisa Brown unfolded in Clayton County, Ga. earlier this week.

According to 11 Alive and TMZ Sports, Brown kidnapped Sandra from her home on Wednesday afternoon, led police on a high-speed chase that resulted in her driving to Alabama, and then shot and killed Sandra before killing herself after the car they were traveling in stopped suddenly. Police have told TMZ Sports that Buster was not involved in the kidnapping or the killing, but they are reporting that Brown stopped to see him at work just before the kidnapping took place. Brown was reportedly upset about the Barnetts' plan to take a vacation together soon.

The story is still developing, so stay tuned for more details. For those not familiar with Buster, he played with the Bills as a tight end from 1981 through 1984.
