Man Holds Up Foul Ball at Astros Game, Accidentally Shows Off Handgun Tucked Into His Jeans (Update)

How did this guy sneak a gun into an MLB game?

1.

Major League Baseball has gone out of its way to try and prevent people from sneaking firearms into games in 2015. They already had measures in place to do it prior to this season. But all 30 MLB teams now require fans to walk through metal detectors before attending games. So how did an Astros fan manage to sneak a concealed handgun into a game against the Orioles last night?

As For The Win pointed out, there is a chance that this guy was working undercover on Monday night. But if he was, he most likely wouldn't have had his gun tucked into the waistband of his jeans. He'd have a proper holster for it. So it seems as though this guy somehow managed to sneak the gun into the game—and then accidentally showed it off after catching a foul ball.

Check out the video above to see the guy reveal the gun. What happened here?

UPDATE:

The Astros released a Twitter statement about the man who was spotted concealing a weapon. Apparently, he was a plain-clothes police officer as some people suspected.
