Believe it or not, professional athletes enjoy doing things other than playing sports. We know. Amazing, right? But when they're not trying to win championships, they have other interests.
We understand this, which is why we weren't all that bent out of shape when we heard that James Harden attended a Drake concert in Houston over the weekend. We don't expect the guy to be 100 percent focused on playing ball 24/7. So if he wants to go to a Drake concert, who cares?
Apparently, a lot of people. And they let Harden know about it by ripping him for letting loose in the middle of the Western Conference Finals, especially since his team was down 0-3 to the Warriors when he did it. Even Lil B called him out for showing up at the Drake concert.
"I heard James Harden was partying," the Based God said on Monday. "He's 0-3. Was James Harden doing the Lil B cooking dance there? He needs to relax and just focus on the playoffs."
Despite all the criticism that he faced, though, Harden didn't back down from the challenge of trying to knock off Golden State in Game 4 last night. In fact, he had one of his best playoff games ever as he dropped 45 points and hit big shot after big shot to help Houston survive an elimination game. He actually played so well that many Rockets fans—and NBA fans in general—are now encouraging Harden to attend Drake concerts before every big playoff game.
