Allen Iverson has a ton of tattoos on various portions of his body. And for the most part, they all mean something to him. But he has a gigantic panther tattooed on his right arm and, in a recent interview with Huffington Post, he revealed that it doesn't actually mean anything. You can see it here:

So why does he have it? Well, it seems he once had a tattoo of the grim reaper holding a basketball on that arm. But he says that it looked so bad that he decided to cover it up. And the meaningless panther was the only thing that was big enough to cover it.

"My friend…used to tease me about a tattoo I had," he said, "but it was so big and what he was teasing me about—he said it looked like a flying monkey. It's supposed to have been a grim reaper holding a ball. But it did look like a monkey. He was teasing me so much that I had to cover it with a panther. I had to. It had to be something big. So this really is the only one that don't mean anything. This was just a cover up."

A panther that doesn't mean anything is better than a bad tattoo that looks like a flying monkey. But is this why AI just about always wore a sleeve over his right arm when he played?
