A woman has filed a lawsuit against former NBA player Gary Payton and accused him of hitting her during a night out earlier this year.
According to TMZ Sports, Trishtan Williams claims Payton got physical with her on three separate occasions back in January after agreeing to accompany him to an awards show in Seattle. She says that Payton got upset with her after she said something that he didn't like inside a bar and that he shoved her. She also says that Payton assaulted her inside of a car and inside of a hotel room that the two were sharing that night. And now, she's suing him and has hired celebrity lawyer Gloria Allred to represent her.
Payton's agent Aaron Goodwin has already come out and called Williams' lawsuit a money grab. He told TMZ Sports that Payton "will fight this frivolous lawsuit" once it goes to court. But so far, Payton has not commented on the lawsuit publicly. Stay tuned to see what he has to say in the coming days and weeks.
