The last two weeks have produced several really memorable college basketball games, including the game between Kentucky and Notre Dame in the Elite Eight round of the 2015 NCAA Tournament and the NCAA Championship Game between Duke and Wisconsin. But despite this, Mark Cuban is not a fan of college hoops right now. So when he was asked about the college game yesterday, the Mavericks owner didn't pull any punches. He ripped the 35-second shot clock that slows the game wayyyy down, called out the officiating, and criticized college ball for its lack of scoring.

Here are some of Cuban's best quotes:

  • "If they want to keep kids in school and keep them from being pro players, they're doing it the exact right way by having the 35-second shot clock and having the game look and officiated the way it is."

  • "It's uglier than ugly, and it's evidenced by the scoring going down. When the NBA went through that, we changed things."

  • "The referees couldn't manage a White Castle [Ed. note: Remember when Cuban said the same thing about NBA officiating and ended up working at a Dairy Queen for a day?]. Seriously, the college game is more physical than the NBA game, and the variation in how it's called from game to game [is a problem]."

  • "It's horrible. It's ridiculous. It's worse than high school. You've got 20 to 25 seconds of passing on the perimeter and then somebody goes and tries to make a play and do something stupid."

Well, Cubes, why don't you tell us how you really feel? Ha.

He definitely makes some valid points, though—like, can the NCAA please consider lowering the shot clock?!—so it'll be interesting to see if his comments end up producing any results or, at the very least, elicit a response from the NCAA.
