The consensus right now seems to be that the Buccaneers are going to select Jameis Winston first overall in the 2015 NFL Draft tonight. They haven't come out and said it yet. But we'd be shocked if they went in a different direction and decided to take, say, Marcus Mariota instead.
If they do decide to select the former Oregon quarterback, though, this Beats By Dre commercial could very well prove to be the reason they do it. Obviously, the commercial itself won't be the reason they select Mariota (if Tampa Bay is making picks based on commercials, they're in more trouble than we thought…). But the stuff contained within the commercial—the shots of Mariota training, the testimonials from people in Mariota's family, etc.—is a good indication of what kind of player and, more importantly, what kind of person Mariota is.
Check it out for yourself. It's not quite as powerful as the Beats By Dre commercial that LeBron James filmed last year. But it's close.
