Manny Pacquiao's Trainer Is Already Calling Floyd Mayweather "Mr. 47 and 1"

Freddie Roach didn't have a lot of nice things to say about Floyd Mayweather today.

Manny Pacquiao's trainer Freddie Roach has thrown jabs at Floyd Mayweather several times over the last few weeks. But earlier today, he came out swinging haymakers when he was asked about him. Specifically, he was upset with Mayweather for showing up more than two hours late to his media day on Tuesday (how dare you keep David Hasselhoff waiting, Floyd!). But Roach ripped him for other things, too. Here were some of his best quotes:

  • On Mayweather showing up late to media day: "Mayweather is a different 'A side' now, and you can guess what the 'A' stands for. He was late for his media workout, leaving major media outlets scheduled to go live with dead air. How selfish is that?"

  • On Mayweather promoting the social media site Shots: "I am so glad that Mayweather is big on Shots, because he is going to be taking a lot of them from Manny on May 2."

  • On Mayweather delaying his fight with Pacquiao for so long: "His excuses for not making the fight haven't held water for years and Manny finally exposed him. Mayweather ran out of road. Mayweather may have been the 'A side' during the negotiations, but once he signed the contract, he became the 'B side' just like he did when he fought Oscar De La Hoya, Ricky Hatton, Miguel Cotto, and Canelo Alvarez. That is why he prolonged announcing the fight for as long as he did. He wanted all the attention."

  • On Mayweather trying to tie Rocky Marciano's 49-0 record: "I can assure you Mayweather's party will end on May 2 and Marciano's record will remain just that—the record."

  • On Mayweather earning himself a new nickname after fighting Pacquiao: "Mayweather will forever be known as Mr. 47 and 1."

Mr. 47 and 1? THOSE SOUND LIKE FIGHTIN' WORDS TO US. Only two more weeks to go...
