LeBron James is more than open to facing the Heat in the first round of the NBA Playoffs.

If the NBA Playoffs started today, LeBron James and the Cavaliers would square off against—gasp—Dwyane Wade and the Heat. And while that potential matchup would make for great theater in the first round of the postseason, it would also serve as a huge distraction for LeBron & Co. So you would think that LeBron would be hoping to play against anyone but the Heat in the playoffs.

But he says that's not the case. Earlier today, he was asked about the idea of the Cavaliers playing Miami in the postseason. And he said that, while it's still too early to talk about it, he would be all for it.

"You look at the standings, you see who's two-seven," he said. "If we continue to do well, we'll probably face the seven seed and we'll see what happens then. But it'd be good for the fans, for sure. And it will be good for me and D-Wade, just being two guys that love to compete."

Unfortunately, there's no guarantee that the Heat will make the playoffs, let alone end up in the seventh seed against the Cavs. They're still jockeying for playoff position with teams like the Nets, Celtics, and Hornets and could very well end up on the outside looking in when the postseason starts. But if Miami does end up matched up against Cleveland, it could make for a very interesting first-round series and give us at least four more moments like this one.
