Kevin Love has caught flack from the media for much of the 2014-15 NBA season. And LeBron James thinks he knows why.

LeBron was addressing reporters earlier today and talking about the criticism Love receives when he had a sudden epiphany and realized why Love seems to be the one to bear the brunt of the media's criticisms. And in doing so, he compared Love to his former Heat teammate Chris Bosh.

"When you have a big three, they've got to find someone," he said. "When I was in Miami, Chris Bosh was that guy at one point. So I know why. I've seen it before. They've gotta find somebody. And Kevin was the guy they tried to find and tried to tear him down. One thing about him, he's always stayed positive. I've always believed in him. I don't really get too involved in what everybody say. I know what type of player he is, what type of competitor he is."

LeBron also said that the Cavaliers are going to need Love moving forward, both in the playoffs this season and for seasons to come.

"In order for us to be the team that we want to be long-term," he said, "Kevin is going to be Kevin."

Given the ups and downs LeBron and Love have faced this season, it's nice to hear LeBron shower him with praise. We'll see if he keeps doing it once the Cavs are playing someone other than the Celtics.
