Earlier this week, after ESPN analyst Tom Penn suggested that the Thunder could look to trade Kevin Durant sometime within the next year, we called his idea "dumb." Actually, we called it "Dumb. Dumb. Dumb." to be exact. And apparently, Oklahoma City general manager Sam Presti agrees.
Late yesterday, Presti was asked about the KD trade rumors that started after Penn made his comments. He called them "ludicrous" and explained that KD is too important to the OKC franchise as a whole to trade:
Does that mean that the Thunder won't trade him? Eh, stranger things have happened. But for now, there's really no purpose in thinking about possible KD trades. Unless, of course, you're checking out our list of ESPN Trade Machine-approved KD deals.
