It's no secret that Kobe Bryant likes Rajon Rondo and wants him to play for the Los Angeles Lakers. Prior to getting traded to Dallas Mavericks, Rondo had breakfast with Bryant which sparked rumors of a possible deal with the Lakers. Obviously, that didn't happen, but Kobe has made it clear that he will not stop trying to recruit him "until he signs an extension."
If Bryant is tirelessly trying to get Rondo to come over to L.A., he may want to be on the ball a little bit more. ESPN's Baxter Holmes recently spoke to the Mavs point guard about Kobe when the topic of breakfast came up once again.
Was Rondo really joking about grabbing breakfast with Kobe? Or, was he trying to play it off because he got stood up by the Black Mamba? Who knows? Here's what else Rondo told Holmes about Bryant.
Nice way to dodge the question, Rondo. Will these two assholes—their words, not ours—ever play together? If it came down to Kobe, the answer is definite "yes." But, can Rondo turn down "the little things" he gets while playing in Dallas? Now, that's a real tough decision.
