Rajon Rondo Has an Orbital Fracture and a Nasal Fracture and Will Miss At Least Three Games

Rajon Rondo suffered two pretty painful injuries over the weekend.

During a game against the Magic on Saturday, Mavericks forward Richard Jefferson accidentally kneed his teammate Rajon Rondo in the face and…OMG, THAT LOOKS LIKE IT HURT:

1.

And unfortunately, it was every bit as bad as it looked.

Rondo suffered an orbital fracture and a nasal fracture as a result of Jefferson's knee—neither of those sound particularly pleasant, eh?—and will be forced to miss some time with the injuries. Rondo won't play in the Mavericks' home game against the Timberwolves tonight and he also won't play against the Warriors or the Kings on the road later this week. There's a chance he could miss some more time after that, too, but it'll all depend on how quickly he heals and how his face feels in a few days. Stay tuned.
