Following Super Bowl XLIX, there have been reports regarding just how banged up a majority of the Legion of Boom was in their 28-24 loss to the New England Patriots.

On Tuesday, Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll appeared on 710 ESPN in Seattle to dispel the rumors that Richard Sherman would need Tommy John surgery to repair his ailing left elbow. However, he did say that some sort of surgery will be necessary. Earl Thomas, who dislocated his shoulder in the NFC Championship Game against the Green Bay Packers, played through the injury and will now seek a second opinion on whether or not he will need surgery with signs pointing to yes. And now, probably the most remarkable of them all...Kam Chancellor

1.

Toughness: Seahawks safety Kam Chancellor played all of Super Bowl XLIX with a torn MCL in his left knee, along with deep bone bruise.

While we fully expect people to hit up the comments section with some variation of...

  • "Who cares?"

  • "So what?"

  • "Nobody on the defense threw that interception"

  • "BEAST MODE!"

  • "Tom Brady would've still carved up the Seahawks' defense at 100 percent"

  • "Darrell Bevell (and/or Peter Carroll) is still the one(s) to blame"

It's impressive to hear just how much these guys sacrificed with everything on the line. Yes, this is what they are paid to do, but at some point, you just gotta tip your hat to these athletes who still suit up and play through so much pain.
