Carmelo Anthony's Season Might Be Over Soon

Carmelo Anthony's left knee is giving him problems. Again. The knee—which forced him to miss about two weeks of action back in early January—bothered him during the Knicks' 109-95 loss to the Heat on Monday night. And after the contest, he admitted that he feels "restricted" out on the court and that he might need to seriously consider sitting out the remainder of the 2014-15 NBA season sometime very soon.

"I'm not getting that pop or that bounce [anymore]," he told reporters. "So I'm getting close to that point."

The thought is that Carmelo might try and make it to the NBA All-Star break before sitting on the sidelines for the rest of the season. But late last night, the Knicks' own Twitter account revealed that he might not be able to play in the All-Star Game on Sunday if his knee doesn't feel better in the coming days:

Melo said he will take it day-by-day (knee) & decide on playing in Orlando & All-Star game on Sunday. #Knicks

As of right now, the Knicks are 32 games below .500 (!). But if you think it's tough to watch the Knicks now, just imagine what it'll be like if they don't have their best player on the floor for the duration of the season.
