Ray Rice may be officially reinstated into the NFL off a technicality, but the elevator incident still isn't completely behind him. This time ,it's because ABC News obtained more surveillance footage of Rice and his then-fiancee Janay Palmer showing the time after he hit her in the elevator.
None of it is quite as shocking as the footage already seen, but here we see Palmer's emotional reaction in the time following the incident. We see her emotionally distraught and tearful as she at first rebukes the former star running back when he approaches her. Palmer eventually relents, though; they're seen kissing while they're both in handcuffs inside an elevator.
Rice went to court to stop ABC News from releasing this footage. His lawyer Peter Ginsberg said, "This is a time of healing and he, quite naturally, doesn’t want another media showing of what must have been the worst event of his life." But that wasn't a good enough reason. Rice lost the case, and that dark cloud still looms.
